Roadtrip Re-Wind

This past summer I went on what I like to call a “Spiritual Sabbatical”….lol. Itraveled up and down the west coast, and then had the NERVE to drive all the way across the country. I really cannot put in words everything I saw on the trip, and much will come later….in my book (Paranormal Encounters on the West Coast)…oh yes!! My partner and I where ready to go and saw so many other things along the way.

We stopped at

Crater Lake, Mt. Shasta, Death Valley, Yosemite, Sedona, AZ, Hopi Reservation, and you don’t even want to know what went down in Utah…lol.

Playing Dress Up: The Fortune Teller

You know I believe in life sometime we take things way way way too seriously. Whatever happened to the imaginations of a child? Or, just taking the time to laugh and play well recently I went to the costume shop and did just that. I decided to tap back into my childhood and play dress up. Who was I?

A fortune teller from the past, I had so much fun I wanted to buy the costume….lol. Problem is where could I wear it?

If you remember one thing today, let it be just have fun and smile!

Let go & Let Flow….I never knew I had a fear of heights….until I met Mt. Rainier

I never knew that until I went for a fun filled drive to Mt. Rainier last week. Being from the Northeast and coming to the Northwest has been quite a culture shock. Both places are beautiful, but I was not used to all of the hills and heights around these parts….lol. Well last week was my crash course initiation into Northwest living.

Mt. Rainier.

This mountain is absolutely beautiful! Regal. Ancient. Magical!

I just was wondering as we drove up the mountain…..Where are the guard rails? They had a few wooden ones, but I mean at 5,000 feet up on a swirly curve with nothing but cliff two feet away from your tires you might hope for a little steel. I am just saying.

Since I was not driving I had no control over how fast we were going. Have you ever been in the passenger side of a car and wished for the second brake they used to have on the cars at driver’s ed? Well, I was stomping my imaginary brake the whole time.

My fear almost ruined the trip. I am serious! My guide said “I was getting on their nerves”….Shoot, I was getting on my own at one point I had to decide

Either you going to keep your eyes glued shut and miss the beauty of the mountain. Or, you can just let go, and trust that everything will be o.k.

Well, since you are reading this post you learned one thing. I made it down off the mountain, and I also learned how to let go.

It is amazing how tense the body gets when we are trying to control everything. Instead of just letting go, and experiencing things as they come. I mean really, what can you control? What is truly secure? Is it all an illusion? These are all questions my drive up Mt. Rainier forced me to examine within myself.

So while my host who took me to the mountain was rolling their eyes in the back of their head, I was having a serious metaphysical moment within myself. I was facing myself truly!

….and it was not pretty.

The truth is I was missing out on all of that experience because I was too scared to let go! It made me wonder what else in my life am I scared to let go of, and allow things to just flow?

What about You?

Here are some pictures that show just how letting go, allowed me to open up to the possibilities and the blessings of what is all around us!

Book Review: Psychic Healing with Spirit Guides and Angels

Psychic Healing with Spirit Guides and Angels by Diane Stein

Source: amazon.com via Kristin on Pinterest

Book Blurb:

A seekers’ guide to hands-on and psychic healing, this comprehensive book presents a complete program of soul development for self-healing, healing with others, and Earth healing.

Information increases from beginning to advanced techniques, a full course in psychic healing.  Skills include meditation, visualization, the chakras and aura, energy work, spirit guides, hands on healing, emotional release, crystal work, distance healing.  Advanced skills include healing karma and past lives, soul retrieval, releasing spirit attachments, dissolving cords and hooks, understanding and aiding the death process–and much more.

My Opinion:
This book spoke to me on so many levels, it is ideal for any person who has had a psychic sense for a long time and did not know how to harness it, use it, or enhance it. In this book Stein shares how to use your Psychic Gifts to heal yourself first and then humanity and the earth. A powerful book for women, but just as powerful for any person male or female who has a desire to heal from emotional traumas.

She also shares meditation practices, emotional healing and how they affect areas within the body creating dis-ease. This book is newly released under the title “Essential Psychic Healing”, however, I was in Seattle and bought a copy at Half-Price Books for a few bucks and it has served as a wonderful resource for me.

This book is great for intermediate learners and even beginners!

Wapato Lake…Nature’s Bliss

I love traveling to the water! I mean I really really love it!!!

Don’t drink by the water’s edge. Throw yourself in! Become the water. Only then will your thirst end…….. Jeanette Berson

Every time I travel some place new I always want to get close to the water. Well I guess that is true for most people because who doesn’t love the water? I mean really! It is so peaceful and serene! I love to meditate by the water, and revel in it’s healing properties. I took a trip to Wapato Lake that is located right outside of Seattle, WA in Tacoma, and it was beautiful. Check out this wonderful picture I shot below.

I tried to catch both of the little duckies, but one swam away before I could catch him. Still a beautiful shot!

Well, I had to sneak myself in a shot! Bad hair day, but Hey…Who Cares….lol
