Reflection Inventory: 10 Minutes a day to Unlocking Peace & Facing Your Fears

Today, I will be teaching one of the techniques I have created in my soon to be launched “Reflect, Release, Rebirth” Program. It is called “Reflection Inventory”

Everyone is running around to this appointment, and that appointment. They are rushing to work, rushing home, and rushing to eat. We are so busy rushing, we forget to take time to just be still. Ask yourself. When is the last time you took a look around? When is the last time you embraced the beautiful surroundings of nature? When is the last time you had overflowing peace in your life? I found peace and it did not cost me a whole lot of money, or even time. I found peace within myself but first I had to get quiet. I mean really quiet. I turned off my cell phone. I had to reflect. I found peace and blessings in the stillness of nature. I want to teach you how I did it.

I am going to show you one of my techniques called “Reflection Inventory” this technique will show you how meditation can unlock your inner peace, and it only takes 10 minutes a day. Meditation is an ancient practice going way back as far as Egypt. I personally believe the Ancient Egyptians got it right when they said “If you want to study the ways of God, study Nature” (my translation). It is something about meditating in nature, that if you get quiet and still enough you can truly appreciate the lessons that nature can provide. with numerous benefits I might add. The practice of meditation is simple, flexible and you can do it wherever you are, and whenever you can. You don’t need fancy music or incense, although it does add to the ambience. All you need to meditate are the things I share in my “Reflection Inventory” technigue.

1. Imagination
2. Breath
3. Presence
4. Paper

It is really that simple. So let me walk you through each step so you can maximize your meditation time. First, if you can find a nice spot outside in your backyard even. Don’t have one? Go to the park. So, find a nice spot and sit with your legs crossed on the ground, or in a chair if you prefer. Make sure your posture is correct and body is relaxed. Now, I know that may sound simple but for some of us who have been tense all day, we have to remind ourselves to relax. So, while sitting mentally let go of all of your cares and worries. Relax your legs, torso, arms, shoulders, neck, and face. Take a full deep breath in, and a deep breath out. Repeat your deep breaths until your body is completely relaxed.

The next thing you will want to do is tap into your imagination. I want you to think of your favorite symbol. Could be a flower, sign or shape and you are going to visualize it. For me I love books, so I picture an old worn journal in my mind. I picture it opening and closing, pages turning, the texture, smell and feel of the book. For you, you could love flowers, so visualize that. Think of the petals, the fragrance of the flower the color and texture. Now, I know what you are thinking! I thought we were supposed to be meditating, but guess what….at this point you are meditating. You are clearing your mind of all other thoughts that are distracting, and once you get to this part, I want you to let go of the image you were focusing on. Your mind should be relaxed and ready. Ready for what? Ready to Release! Now, take this time to breathe deeply, inward and out, breathe deeply for ten slow deep breaths. After you have finished take out a sheet of paper and write down all of the things you need take inventory of. Don’t worry and do not over think it! To start this process write down questions like:

Am I doing what makes me happy?
What/Who is Blocking my Peace?
How can I do something that will bring Peace today?
Is their a lesson in nature I can apply to my situation?

If you are meditating by trees, some meditation questions are:

What is keeping me grounded?
Am I producing healthy fruit in all areas of my life?

Do I feel withered in my career?

If you are meditating by water, some meditation questions are:

Do I need to let something go?
Is my purpose crystal clear?
What needs to be made new in my life?

If you are meditating by a mountain, some meditation questions are:

What obstacles am I trying to overcome?
Is someone/something in my way?
How can I reach the top of this endeavor?

These questions are just creative prompts, so you can ask your own questions, or sometimes let the questions come to you.

You will be surprised at how much information will flow forth in ten minutes times. In fact what I found is once you quiet your mind and allow yourself this opportunity to meditate you will be surprised at what comes forth, and won’t want to stop. If you practice the “Reflection Inventory” technique for 7 days, you will most likely be hooked!

10 minutes to Peace Roadmap:

Find a Quiet Place in nature preferably
Grab a pen and paper
Relax your body and breathe
Visualize
Write

It is really that simple!

Much Bliss and Blessings!

Movie Review: Astral City: A Spiritual Journey

Astral City

I recently came across a movie titled “Astral City” it immediately intrigued me because it was based off of a book written by “Chico Xavier”. I never heard of him before but I thought I would give the movie a chance. It was a wonderful movie about spiritual topics mainly focusing on the soul’s journey after death. The story follows Dr. Andres as he makes his journey from death to the spiritual world. His first stop is unlikely it is pretty much a place that we would think of as a hell. He is then rescued by the people of light who live as the movie calls it “Our Home”. Once he arrives there he is feeling a little awkward and unsure of the way “Our Home” works, he is caught up in his “earthy diplomas” and think they mean something in this heavenly place. The movie follows him as he learns what life truly means, even if the lesson is learned after death!

Definitely worth a watch, even though it is in Spanish sub-titles.

A tales of Everyday Magic Novel

By Louise Hay & Lynn Lauber
Pages: 124
Publisher: Hay House
ISBN:  1401937810

Book Blurb:

Jonathan Langley’s life took a devastating turn when he lost
his eyesight to a rare illness. Once a successful painter and
printmaker, Jonathan now lives in complete darkness, rarely leaving
his apartment and angry at the world. When he encounters his
precocious 11-year-old neighbor, Lupe, the two form an unlikely
friendship. Her cheerful presence shatters his hardened exterior,
revealing a gentle man struck by tragedy. Lupe leads him to a fresh
perspective by showing him the power of kindness, compassion, and
love.
Based on the celebrated teachings of Louise Hay, Painting the
Future explores the power of positive thinking in healing past
struggles and learning to live a joyful, heart-centered life.

My Review:

In this story we meet two powerful characters that represent the best and worst of us at a very real level. Lupe a pleasant and curious 11-year-old meets Jonathan Langley a blind neighbor. Through her persistence and an optimism like children have, they develop a friendship. Trust me, Jonathan Langley did not want it, he is hardened by the hand life has dealt him, and does not want to open up. However, the innocence of a child is not match for Langley’s tough exterior. I enjoyed this book for two reasons.

1. I can identify with both characters: I mean really if you were honest with yourself you have been in Langley’s shoes; maybe not on the same level, but surely could head that direction. You know where! You get snippy, don’t want to be bothered with people, shut everyone off. This is usually the time someone like Lupe enters your life. Someone who can melt that hard exterior like butter!!

2. It shows that even the hardest things to get over, even when you feel like life has let you down, there is still hope! I love a good happy ending!

The book, was a quick read so if you are a fast reader you can finish it in a day, or afternoon. But, if you are like me, you like to hang on to every word and really snuggle up with the characters. Either way I think this is a great read, with a positive message!

Much Bliss & Blessings

Movie Review: Sedona

This cute film is a funny look at Sedona, Arizona. I have been wanting to visit there for quote some time, and decided to rent this movie as a nice feel good movie for a Saturday afternoon. The movie is cute but the message is powerful. Basically to sum it up in one sentence. You have to slow down in order to hear what your Spirit is saying!

In this movie Frances Fisher finds herself stuck in the city of Sedona. Is it Divine Providence or as she views it..a messed up inconvenience to her perfectly polished power suit wearing position as an ad executive. The city of Sedona plays a powerful opponent to her, keeping her in the city by a number of inconvenient circumstances. The other star in this film is Seth Peterson, who is alot like his co-star caught up in the monotonous rat race of a high powering position, so busy chasing the perceived value of keeping with the joneses, he cannot see the true treasure that he already has within his family.

By the end of the movie their is a really nice surprise that ties in all of the story elements. I was definitely shocked by it!! So if you want a cute little movie, with a positive message rent or buy Sedona……oh and I can’t wait to visit the city. I will keep you posted……

Book Review: Psychic Healing with Spirit Guides and Angels

Psychic Healing with Spirit Guides and Angels by Diane Stein

Source: amazon.com via Kristin on Pinterest

Book Blurb:

A seekers’ guide to hands-on and psychic healing, this comprehensive book presents a complete program of soul development for self-healing, healing with others, and Earth healing.

Information increases from beginning to advanced techniques, a full course in psychic healing.  Skills include meditation, visualization, the chakras and aura, energy work, spirit guides, hands on healing, emotional release, crystal work, distance healing.  Advanced skills include healing karma and past lives, soul retrieval, releasing spirit attachments, dissolving cords and hooks, understanding and aiding the death process–and much more.

My Opinion:
This book spoke to me on so many levels, it is ideal for any person who has had a psychic sense for a long time and did not know how to harness it, use it, or enhance it. In this book Stein shares how to use your Psychic Gifts to heal yourself first and then humanity and the earth. A powerful book for women, but just as powerful for any person male or female who has a desire to heal from emotional traumas.

She also shares meditation practices, emotional healing and how they affect areas within the body creating dis-ease. This book is newly released under the title “Essential Psychic Healing”, however, I was in Seattle and bought a copy at Half-Price Books for a few bucks and it has served as a wonderful resource for me.

This book is great for intermediate learners and even beginners!

Wapato Lake…Nature’s Bliss

I love traveling to the water! I mean I really really love it!!!

Don’t drink by the water’s edge. Throw yourself in! Become the water. Only then will your thirst end…….. Jeanette Berson

Every time I travel some place new I always want to get close to the water. Well I guess that is true for most people because who doesn’t love the water? I mean really! It is so peaceful and serene! I love to meditate by the water, and revel in it’s healing properties. I took a trip to Wapato Lake that is located right outside of Seattle, WA in Tacoma, and it was beautiful. Check out this wonderful picture I shot below.

I tried to catch both of the little duckies, but one swam away before I could catch him. Still a beautiful shot!

Well, I had to sneak myself in a shot! Bad hair day, but Hey…Who Cares….lol

Adventures at the Meeker Mansion: Psychic Fair and Flair

Adventures at the Meeker Mansion: Psychic Fair and Flair

Meeker Mansion was the 19th century home to Eliza Meeker, a pioneer in the Puyallup, WA community. This place is gorgeous and brimming to the bit with historical information. It is so fun to see new places, and this by far was no exception! When I entered the mansion I was greeted by a lovely lady who showed me the layout, and I was surprised that their were over 20+ psychics and intuitive readers inside the mansion. In each area their was a lineup of clients waiting to sit and get a reading done.

I had a reading done by Raea Sunshine who is a talented psychic. She calls herself a psychic for psychics, and I believe her. She is honest, direct and holds no punches. She gives it to you straight….no chaser! That is what I needed…lol.  She performed my reading without the use of any oracle tools (tarot). She just read my different chakra points….from the crown all the way down! Let me tell you she was on point. I truly enjoyed her reading, and will be back. If you are looking for a psychic I highly recommend her.

I then walked to the up stairs of the mansion to find a man who was selling these powerful pieces of artwork. His company is called Living Light Alchemy. Each time I picked up one of his hand crafted talismans I felt the vibrations in my hand electrify. He truly takes pride in producing wonderful healing instruments that can be used during meditation, and for healing sessions.

From the nineteenth century vibe that the mansion provided and the mysticism that I experienced inside the Meeker Mansion I know I will be back for the next Psychic Fair event!

“Snow White and The Huntsman” 3 things I learned from this modern fable

“Snow White and The Huntsman” Review

Starring:
Snow White: Kristen Stewart
Huntsman: Chris Hemsworth
Ravenna (Queen): Charlize Theron

I finally dragged myself to go see “Snow White and the Huntsman” I was pleasantly surprised how much I enjoyed the movie. Not being a super big fan of Kristen Stewart, I still enjoyed her performance.

Rituals, Myth and Magick were at the forefront of “Snow White”. If you pay close attention and can get past the “man” in the mirror (for a second I thought Michael Jacksons’s hologram was going to appear from under that golden sheet)…I digress. If you look closely at The Golden Mirror you will see inscriptions that look like runes surrounding the frame of the mirror. Between that and her black crow meditations we can all get the impression that this movie has some elements of dark magic.

Aside from the Queen eating the hearts and innards of birds, and sucking the life force out of beautiful maidens in her kingdom, we know that “Snow White” has a happy ending. A few twists and surprises are in store along the way, but I say two thumbs up for “Snow White and the Huntsman”

Three things I learned from “Snow White and the Huntsman”

1. Always sleep with one eye open.
2. Things are not always what they seem.
3. Let the light you shine, overpower the darkness.
